Volunteer needed – Review of VMM activities in Sierra Leone

This review has been commissioned by VMM to ascertain the current situation of its partners in Sierra Leone and how they have been impacted by the ebola crisis. It is looking to comment upon the reality of VMM achieving its objectives as set out in the 2015 Action Plan (prepared as a response to Coffey International’s review of VMM’s international operations), VMM strategic framework 2016 – 2020, and in line with our MOUs and agreements with project partners, and to provide suggestions on moving forward in supporting these partners.
It should also establish if there are areas both operationally and structurally that could be modified with a view of enhancing the efficacy of VMM as it strives to meet the challenges of the needs of the poor and marginalised as served by our partners in Sierra Leone.

You can download the Terms of Reference for the role here.

The volunteer will be provided with return flights to Sierra Leone, a generous allowance, insurance, training, 24/7 support and debriefing on return.

We ask all of our volunteers to fundraise €1500 contribution towards VMM. However, please talk to us if there is an issue with this, and do not hesitate in applying.

Interested candidates should email a copy of their CV, a cover letter and an example of their work to recruit@vmminternational.org by Friday 23rd June.

All VMM volunteers are vetted in accordance with VMM’s Child and Vulnerable Adult Safeguarding Policy.
